I'm a versatile visual artist driven by a deep passion for creativity and self-expression. My work is deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Folk Art.

Inspired by the vibrant colors, whimsical motifs, and storytelling elements of folk art traditions that I grew up with, I blend these influences with my own unique perspective.

Through my art, I strive to capture the essence of community, heritage, and the human experience, using a variety of mediums and techniques. Each piece is a homage to the beauty of simplicity and the power of cultural storytelling, inviting viewers to connect with both the art and its narrative.

I first met Eksha when I enrolled in the beginner course for water colour flowers. I had not used watercolour paints before. I found that she created a warm kind environment within the class and along with the other students I quickly became proficient with the medium. The class was a fabulous place and I found it very meditative and her style of teaching conducive to creating great artworks. One of my pieces I felt confident enough to give as a wedding present which I think says a lot for her ability to create a space for her students to shine. I have enrolled in another class of Loose Watercolour flowers with her. That’s how much I loved it.

School holidays ‘community programs’ are a blessing to families, from my experience none more fascinating than an art event with hands on and a take-way benefit. That is what THE ARTFUL NEST PROVIDED this July.

Eksha ran a magnificently organized acrylic T-shirt painting session that not only involved our grandkids, but also us adults. An absolutely great morning!
